Louis York and Anthony Hamilton’s ‘Alone A Lot’ Debuts on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay Chart

R&B duo Louis York and Anthony Hamilton’s latest collaboration, “Alone A Lot,” debuts on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart during the week of Sept. 23.

The soul-stirring tune opens at No. 29 on the airplay chart, joining Khamari’s “These Four Walls” (No. 27) as the only new entries this week. 

“Alone A Lot” was released Aug. 18 via Weirdo Workshop as the second single from the duo’s upcoming album, Songs With Friends.

Earlier this month, Louis York, composed of the hitmakers Claude Kelly and Chuck Harmony, released their official video for “Alone A Lot.” The performance-style video has amassed nearly 50,000 views on YouTube.

As noted above, “Alone A Lot” is the second offering from Louis York’s Songs With Friends. They launched their new era with “Heaven Bound,” a delightful duet with pop-soul singer Jessie J.

Their collaboration has garnered over 736,000 streams on Spotify, which is among the duo’s popular tracks on the music streaming platform.

“Heaven Bound” also received a supporting video featuring Kelly and Jessie J belting lyrics to the divine tune while Harmony was stationed at the piano. The video has more than 2.3 million views on YouTube. 

Songs With Friends will follow Louis York’s debut album, American Griots, which was among Rated R&B’s Best R&B Albums of 2019 list. A release date for Songs With Friends has not yet been revealed.

Circling back to the Adult R&B Airplay chart, the Louis York-penned and produced “Last Night Was Good for My Soul” by The Shindellas has entered the top 10 this week. The retro soul jam is No. 10 this week and is the R&B trio’s first top 10 hit on any Billboard chart.

In other music news, Louis York co-wrote and produced K. Michelle’s new country-tinged song “Tennessee” from her upcoming album, I’m The Problem.
